Ingredients

  • 1 lbs uncooked spaghetti (or other pasta of choice)
  • a bit of olive oil (to toss)
  • 1 ½ cup cashews (or blanched almonds)
  • 1 ⅔ cup water
  • 2 heaped tsp vegetable broth
  • 4 tbsp nutritional yeast (for a cheesy flavour (optional))
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 14 oz mushrooms (sliced)
  • 4 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1 cup frozen peas (thawed)
  • salt (to taste)
  • pepper (to taste)
  • 1 heaped cup unsweetened coconut flakes
  • 4 tsp tamari sauce (or soy sauce)
  • 1 tsp liquid smoke (or sub more tamari)
  • 2 tsp maple syrup (or coconut syrup)
  • 2 tsp oil
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
